Poor, poor Jarvy!
For those who don't know, Jarvy was playing in a softball tournament in Price and recently took a softball to the face! He was playing right field when a high, deep fly ball was hit to him. He had it in his sights to catch it, til the last split second, it got lost in the sun and he took it to the left cheek. He actually broke 3 bones in that left cheek. He was lucky enough to not have surgery, but he has sure been feeling it for the last few weeks. But I am pretty sure the worst part for him has been not being able to play softball for a month! Poor Jarvy!
After he broke his cheek, his left sinus was full of blood. This resulted in the white of Jarv's eye being completely filled with blood. The blood has been draining for the last few weeks, so he has been spitting out blood for quite a while. It is pretty gross actually.

Cruise!
So Jarvy and I went on a cruise this past month with our friends, Ross and Briar and Ladd and Krystal. We had a really great time. We went to Puerta Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. In PV, we rode zip lines through the forest, which was a blast! In Mazatlan, we went to Stone Island, where we hung out on the beach and boogy boarded. In Cabo, we did some shopping and hung out on the island. That is the quick of our vacay... Basically, we had a fabulous time relaxing and being away from work for a week!
We rode some horses on Stone Island.
It's Dinner time on Elegant Night!
This is Jarvy and I in front of some shops at Cabo!
Just some friendly bean bag competition... we took second to Ladd and Krys... until next cruise!
We also played some sweet mini golf on the ship... I blame my crappy shots to the movement of the ship! Haha!
Our ship: Splendor
Isn't that the cutest little Mexi face you have ever seen!? This cute little boy was selling whistles and suckered me right in! So I got a pic with him and yes, I bought a whistle! I refer to him as my Mexican son in Cabo!

Check out my new grill!
So it is official! I had to get braces back on! It really is a sad story... I had braces back when I was about 12 years old, but it hasn't been til the last couple years that my top teeth have started to move. I know you are all thinking, well why didn't you wear your retainer? Wrong! I had a permanent retainer glued in on the top and bottom teeth! Apparently, I ate something that bent my top retainer that then started moving my top teeth... The moral of the story is that I have braces again and feel like I am 12 years old again! The price I pay for having and keeping straight teeth!
If that doesn't creep ya out a little bit, I don't know what will! Gotta love it!

New Wedding Ring!
For those of you that don't know, at the end of 2009, my wedding ring was stolen out of my car at a gas station in Beaver. I know... you are thinking "What the heck was it doing off of my finger?!" Well, the reason is that I don't sleep with my rings on because my hands swell... So we were sleeping at my parents house and just got up and left in the morning. I grabbed my rings and put them in the cubby in the door of the car for the drive back to St G.
So... in Beaver, we stopped to get gas, go to the bathroom, and get some breakfast burritos. When we got back to the car, I had a feeling to check for my ring. It wasn't in the cubby, on the car floor, between the seats, or on the ground outside the car! We asked if they had cameras and they didn't. I was devastated!
Anyway, we filed a police report and took a claim under our Home Owners Insurance. We did get a check to cover some of the ring cost... and then we were in the market for a wedding ring... again...
We have been working with the same place where I got my first ring to get a new one. Well, the other day I got it and am super excited! I love it!
Missing: Could be found in Beaver?
Bless my husband Jarvy for all his patience with me! He was such a sweetheart throughout the whole ordeal!

Christmas 2009
Christmas has past and Jarvy and I had a good one. We got to spend Christmas with our nieces so that made it extra fun! We aren't very good about taking our camera anywhere so we didn't get any pictures of them...
Christmas Eve, we met the fam at the temple to see the Christmas lights and look at the nativity. We then had a really nice dinner at Jill's house. Christmas morning consisted of princess dress-ups, princess shoes, tinkerball movies, and tinkerbell panties! Jarvy and I filled each others stockings... Jarvy got his own Cutco hunting knife so now he can finally give his Dad's back! Jarvy got me a couple pairs of Modbe pants that I have been wanting, as well as a new garbage disposal! Only those who have used our old one truly understand what a huge improvement this will be in our house! Who knew one could be so excited about a garbage disposal?! Mark and Jill got us a doorknob for our house that isn't the ugly gold we have now... I am so excited to put it in!
Next weekend, I have work off and my fam will be back from Mexico, so we will be going to Huntington to celebrate Christmas with them. So I'm excited about that and to see them.
I'm so proud of these stockings... My Aunt Evone made mine when I was little and I love it! Monica and I decided we wanted to make one for our spouses and, one day, our kids. So I started making Jarvy's, then my Mom finished it for me. But I absolutely love it!
Jill hand painted this nativity for us one of the first Christmases we were married and this is the first year we could actually display it! I really love it lots!
Merry Christmas!

Sad news!
K! So the saddest thing ever... we got our new appliances and they are beautiful. We ran our dishwasher twice and found it was leaking water like crazy! Our wood floor was seeping up water! Aaaahh! Turns out, the guy who installed it didn't replace a tube or something that he should have. Sears won't cover the damage done to our floor because the guy is contracted from them. Long story short, the guy has to pay to replace our floors out of pocket!
Kinda sad for him, but I guess it was his own fault. So our next project is getting our floor replaced.

Merry Christmas to Me... early!
Halloween 2009
It's a little late... but for Halloween weekend, Jarvy and I spent some time with friends. One of our friends' family owns a lodge out in the middle of nowhere past Minorsville.
It is a blast! We went there last year too. This year, on Halloween night, we all dressed up. We also played some tennis and played lots of board games. It was a really fun time! Here are a few pics...
Our camera has been having issues... so try to ignore the weird flash and quality

Our yard!
I know you all have been waiting to hear an update on our yard... ok, maybe it is just me... but I am so proud to announce that Jarvy, along with so many helping hands (which, thank-you all who helped!), put sod in our yard today! I am so stinkin excited, I can barely stand it! This was our last big project on our fixer-upper house... for a long while anyways! Jarvy has been working super hard on it and it looks beautiful!
Aaahh! I just love it so much!
